Bad
Things Happen?
Going
to Church was
Life Changing AND Fun?
We
let the Past Go
& did things God's Way?
We
stopped asking...
My parents treated me differently?
I hadn't made that BIG life-changing mistake?
I had what other people have?
I didn't have to struggle with sin?
Adam
and Eve had kept their hands off the fruit?
Yes, Adam's one sin brought condemnation upon everyone, but
Christ's one act of righteousness makes all people right in God's sight and
gives them life. Because one person disobeyed God, many people became sinners.
But because one other person obeyed God, many people will be made right in God's
sight.
Romans 5:18-19
Obey God because you are His children. Don't
slip back into your old ways of doing evil; you didn't know
any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you
do, just as God — who chose you to be His children — is holy.
1 Peter 1:14-15

-
we truly thanked God for all He has done?
-
we followed Him with all of our heart, mind,
and strength?
-
we thought about God as we lived each day?
-
we loved and cared for others the way Jesus
did?
-
we read our Bibles and searched for answers?
-
we listened to the Holy Spirit’s guidance in
our lives?
-
HP (as a church) truly committed to do
Whatever it takes?

What could
G O D
do
with that kind of church?
What would it cost us?
Has God already provided it?
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also
reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap
generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his
heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God
loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace
abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all
that you need, you will abound in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:6-8
What if we all gave like God told us to?
Now I want to tell you, dear brothers and
sisters, what God in His kindness has done for the churches in
Macedonia. Though they have been going through much trouble
and hard times, their wonderful joy and deep poverty have
overflowed in rich generosity. For I can testify that they
gave not only what they could afford but far more. And they
did it of their own free will. They begged us again and again
for the gracious privilege of sharing in the gift for the
Christians in Jerusalem. Best of all, they went beyond our
highest hopes, for their first action was to dedicate
themselves to the Lord and to us for whatever directions God
might give them.
2 Corinthians 8:1-5
Tell those who are rich in this world not to be
proud and not to trust in their money, which will soon be
gone. But their trust should be in the living God, who richly
gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their
money to do good. They should be rich in good works and should
give generously to those in need, always being ready to share
with others whatever God has given them. By doing this they
will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the
future so that they may take hold of real life.
1 Timothy 6:17-19
Give whatever you can according to what you
have. If you are really eager to give, it isn't important how
much you are able to give. God wants you to give what you
have, not what you don't have.
2 Corinthians 8:11-12
Jesus sat down opposite the place where the
offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money
into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large
amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small
copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. Calling His
disciples to Him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor
widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They
all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put
in everything-all she had to live on."
Mark 12:41-44
You are careful to tithe even the tiniest part
of your income, but you completely forget about justice and
the love of God. You should tithe, yes, but you should not
leave undone the more important things.
Luke 11:42
Whatever we do, it is because Christ's love
controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for everyone,
we also believe that we have all died to the old life we used
to live.
2 Corinthians 5:14
May you experience the love of Christ, though
it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you
will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes
from God. Now glory be to God! By His mighty power at work
within us, He is able to accomplish infinitely more than we
would ever dare to ask or hope. May He be given glory in the
church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless
ages. Amen.
Ephesians 3:19-21
